Stop Motion Help! Program

I'm in the process of requesting some resources for my students and would really like to do some Stop Motion Video.I did a search on the forum, but didn't find a program that anyone has used in the past to help with it.  Does everyone use MovieMaker, or is their a better free program out there?  I'm going to be requesting webcams, could you think of anything else I might need?Thank youSee More
