I think I can find someone to do this project as well I will share it with my teachers and see if I have any takers. We start school the end of August. But the first couple of weeks are kind of busy. I have book marked you wiki and will let you know.
Last year, we took a picture just outside of the computer lab each month with the exception of the last month where the students took pictures all over campus.

Lucky you, not starting until Sept. 9th! That's no problem. We just ask for a month once a month; it doesn't have to be the first of the month.

No window required. :) You could even take a photo outside the front door of the school, whatever makes sense. We just ask that it is the same place every month.

Very interested in this. Will find a class to do this with. No rooms in my lab. Could it be a pic outside the front glass doors? That is what we see outside the lab?
