About Me
My name is Josh Hartman. I grew up in Winfield, IL and received my teaching certificate from Northern Illinois University. After graduating, I moved to North Carolina to enjoy the wonderful weather and many outdoor opportunities. When I am not teaching, my wife and I enjoy hiking, backpacking, cycling, and walking our cairn terrier Migo. I also love reading books and outdoor photography!

I taught 2nd grade for 4 years at Holly Ridge Elementary School before moving on to my current position as the technology teacher for grades K-5. I am so excited to support our teachers and students in learning new technologies. I have already learned so much in my new position! Technology is truly my passion and I look forward to a great year ahead!

Kids create the Video Tutorials

My first graders were having a hard time following the steps of saving after listening to boring old Mr. Hartman. So I had them create short video tutorials! Wow, did it work! You have got to check these out. I also intentionally made them silly. One of my students said, "Wow, I'm going to show those to my parents!" and he wasn't even a student in the video.
