Wordles and More

This entry is a shout-out to Vicky S! Your Wordle ideas and Bartleby.com link that you provided have made our month with 4th and 5th graders and their teachers! Big Week planned: We missed inauguration day due to weather, AND we just started a new semester with new K-5 students when we returned. If that was not enough to plan for - my Media Specialist and I are piloting some 5th grade single-gender Technology and Media classes, so I wanted to start with fresh ideas.

These sites and activities g… Continue

Ed Heads - more new updates

If you have not been to Ed Heads...go now to http://www.edheads.org/
I started using this site a few years ago for the fantastic Simple Machines and Weather activities. The character, mystery, and constant motion of ODD MACHINE keep you motivated.

The designers have created this engaging site that students and adults love and can all learn at different levels. They have since added many more.

You will want to provide a direct link to one of the activities… Continue

Hi JoNelle- Glad you found the Wordle tag (I was wondering if I should let people know that I tagged them, but decided that they would find out one way or another. Thanks for the kind words about my sites. I'm really pleased the way the blog is working out- the kids seem to visit quite a bit after school. BTW, I put in an application with BugScope, but haven't heard yet. Have a great holiday!

Thanks for the information. I'll look into this over the summer because I know the kids would love to do something like this.

I saw this at a presentation at NYSCATE last November and then forgot about it. Thanks for jogging my memory! I would love to hear more about it. Please consider talking about it in the forum under the web2.0 conversation or start a new conversation for it. Thanks!

I love the Crazy Talk videos. I may need to think about something like this for next year though the software is pricier than most things we use. Do the kids use the actual software or do you do that part?

JoNelle,

I wrote you a comment about your crazy talk videos, but I just went to your blog and saw your post about it *so I deleted the original comment*! Off to read... :)

They are just adorable!
