Thanks for the info. I just went to my profile page and it says that the URL thing is new.
Good point about the ads. It can be used as a learning experience in a safe enviornment.
Feel free to have your students use my site. All the links are visual and 2-3 clicks will get you to an activity. If you type "bouncy a" or "mr young" in Google my listing is #1 on page 1. Here is the link:

Your URL looks like http://only2clicks.com/pages/stmcomputers - stmcomputers is one I had set up but haven't re-visited in awhile. I like it but don't use it with students b/c it has ads. I haven't ever seen really inappropriate ads and you could us…
Amber Coggin mentioned tizmos.com before. It is a great website of links to activities. I can access my page from any computer by using my account name: tizmos.com/sescomputerlab It's the homepage on all my lab computers. If you set up your account,…
I have played around with it and love the way it diplays the thumbnails. The problem is that I do not think you can give out a URL, I think you have to log in. I am not 100% so I would love if someone else has some input. Thanks.
Has anyone used only2clicks.com before? I created a website for my 1st graders and I can't figure out what url to give them to take home?! I would love it if they didn't have to sign in and do a password....is that possible? Where do I find the url…
This year is alittle different than the past 3 years...I teach at 2 elementary's that are 2-4th and then at a school that I only teach 1st grade with laptops, along with Spanish 3-4th grade. If you go on my website...the username is brcards........password is gocards
Strange that you ask about chatting with 5th graders! - do you have Skype? My 5th grade class on this Tuesday is looking for a class to Skype with. Let me know if you are interested.
Hi Jennifer, you asked what site the students were on for my photo of lemonade stand. It is: http://www.classbrain.com/cb_games/cb_gms_bag/lemonade.html
I have never used it, but I think you need to download the application first. Once you tell the site you want to work with the smilebox app on your hd it lets you in to see the designs. Once you pick a design you upload the files and if you have premium service you can upload your own music.
I plan to add the December feature project to the grade 1 and 2 wiki and the January penguin project to grade 1 as well. I'm not sure which web 2.0 tool I will use, but I'll have the mp3 recording plus jpgs of the kidpix pictures. May use One True Media or iMovie and upload to teachertube. The penguin books will be uploaded to slideshare and embedded.

Hey Jennnifer! Wake Forest is suburb of Raleigh. It's a little town but growing by the minute. It was the former home of Wake Forest University but now houses Southeastern Baptist Seminary. Great little town that is close to the bigger city!
Hey Jennifer. Yes, we are in Alabama. Have you used epals before? I will check into it some more and get back to you. I haven't looked at it in awhile. :)
