"Do you have a picture of your window with the sub on it?  I have a large window as well and that sounds so clever."

"I had the problem with kids chewing and twirling the wires as well.  So, what our school decided to do was add it to each student's school supply list.  If the kids didn't bring headphones, then their computer was on mute. …"

"RE: How you manage personal sets for each child... Badly!   I tried to phase out buying new headphones without being accused of stealing headphone money. Nobody had sent money in for the first two years I was there, so I was hoping to have…"

"Ha! Parents would probably go ballistic over that one. What's OK at home isn't always OK at school.   I limit headphone use at my school. Even with KidPix with all those fun sounds, I don't let them use headphones because…"

"Yep, I've had them chewed right through to the copper wiring. I'm now in a lab where every one of 300 kids has his/her own set of headphones - storage and logistical nightmare. The odd thing is, there isn't as much chewing. Makes me…"

"Lol. I know exactly what you mean. My students do the same thing. It would be nice not to have to deal with wires, but Jacqui is correct, the batteries would be a headache and expensive. I have a computer lab with 30 students stations, so every…"

"Haha. How funny. I went through wanting wireless headphones a few years ago. It was explained to me that I'd be exchanging batteries constantly and it would drive me nuts. I have a wireless for my desktop at school and decided they were right.…"

Does anyone use wireless headphones in their labs?  I have a problem with the students chewing on the cords.  Does anyone else experience this?  I teach 1st and 2nd graders.See More

Hi Cheri! Thanks so much for your sweet comments. I'm so glad you have found my sites useful! I actually feel like I haven't been able to spend much time finding new resources this summer because this summer has been all about the SMART Board! I hope to share more things once school starts back. Again, thanks for writing and I look forward to networking with you in the future.

I made mine before Design Her Gals was on Oprah and became super popular. You use to be able to get the gif image from her for educational websites and such at a very low cost. That choice does not exist anymore...very sad :(
