Word Clouds

Great step up from Wordle, which I still love. But we used tagxedo and the kids loved it. We got all kinds of great shapes.

I used Tagxedo an online free program students typed their name 10 times and we copy and pasted 20 times to get 200 and then they choose a shape.

Hey Robin!  I have a question.  When I type my name more than one time it just makes one name and bigger the more times I type it.  This may be a dumb question but how do you get it to allow the same word to show up in different places, different fonts, different colors, etc?

Hi Niki no problem ....We did our name ten times then copy and pasted 20 times to get 200 words...the more words the fuller the shape then on the left were it says word layout options in the layout I changed the normalize frequency to yes and changed allow replication to yes and I think I changed font to all then clicked accept at the bottom.

Thank you so much Robin!  I love it!  I can't wait to do it in class!  (My 9 year old daughter sitting here with me is pretty excited about it too! ;)
