A place for elementary tech teachers to share.
Comment by Christy Kinney on February 24, 2012 at 2:34pm We use "I Can" statements in Kentucky too, and I'm always looking for ways to use that in the computer lab. Thanks for sharing!

I have a paint can and on the front it says: "Can You" the kids draw out a slip a paper with things on it like... Can You tell me the home row keys... Can You show me how to do print preview. etc. I put different Can Yous for each grade level. Your bulletin board would look cute with my can.

Comment by Jenni Geel on September 2, 2012 at 1:48am Would you be interested in sharing your 'I Can" statements with me? I am new to computer lab this year, and we don't have a curriculum or tech standards for me to go off of to create my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Comment by Jan Dunlap on September 2, 2012 at 3:48pm I would like to share them but can't find them. I made them years ago and they are probably saved on a CD someplace. I am sorry. I just made them grade appropriate. ie: Can You... show me how to use Wordart.
Can You... tell me what finger you use for the letter F on the keyboard. etc. If I come across them I will try to remember to send to you.
