Elementary Tech Teachers

A place for elementary tech teachers to share.

At my school district we often have students who get "stuck" on a lesson in TTL4.  When reviewing their reports, I can see that they have met the quota on the lesson yet the program will not let them progress to the next lesson.  Is anyone else having this difficulty?  Any ideas on how to move that student along.  We have tried several things.

Have you tried having them do the initial lesson? By initial lesson I mean clicking the begin button to do the initial lesson for that particular level. I have some students that start right in on the check list and forget to do the "begin" lesson. Once that is completed then it has allowed them to "pass" and move to the next level.

I used to have that problem too. I set it up so they can't skip ahead to the final challenge and they have to do the begin button first and once they pass that, then the games and final challenge opens up.

At least with my 3rd and 4th graders they sometimes will do the lesson and forget about doing the final challenge which allows them to move on from one lesson to the next.

I agree with the rest--once I convinced students to follow directions, they moved forward. Well--I probably adjusted the speed and accuracy goals a bit. That might have helped.
