Permalink Reply by Bridget Link on October 14, 2012 at 11:35pm I just bought an ipad that I use with my intervention reading group. Currently we record and listen to their reading with the ipad. I plan to use if further and have the students play some of the phonics games.
Permalink Reply by Ruth Tutewiler on October 30, 2012 at 1:57pm We use iPads sometimes in RTI groups. There are a lot of phonics apps which help the kids, we also like TimedReading it is a great app which gives teachers the students fluency. The words per minute are saved for each student on each story. I also like Storia a free app from scholastic book clubs. You do have to buy the stories but there are games for comprehension through out the story.
I hope this helps. If you would like a list of more apps we have on our iPads and iPods you could email me and I could send you a list that we use here at school. ruth.tutewiler@harrison.kyschools.us
